Wastech Engineering worked closely with the Wellington Shire Council to deliver another award winning facility.

Wastech Engineering were involved with the design & supply of a Moving Floor 30 mtrs long x 3 metres wide& related equipment for the project which was the lynch pin of the whole transfer station (Resource Recovery Centre) design & now the operation.

The floor gives Wellington the opportunity to recover valuable commodities such as cardboard, steel mixed plastics & resalable items that would normally go to landfill; hence their recovery/ diversion rate has been lifted to 40%, whereas before it was practically zero. It also does away with the dangerous practice of having a front end loader or dozer in a traditional push pit which is a very cost effective outcome for Council.
